Once again, we wish all our members a happy and prosperous new year. We hope to bring exciting news and events to all our students in 2024.
It’s time for students to apply for different awards to assist toward their education. The Health Physics Society (HPS) offers different scholarships, fellowships, and grants, and information on these can be accessed on the Students page of the HPS website.
The 2024–2025 application for the various awards is currently opened and will close on 1 March 2024. The HPS also offers travel grants for all HPS member students who are planning to attend the IRPA 16/69th HPS Annual Meeting. More information about requirements for the different awards can be found via scholarships and fellowships.
We know the stress of academics can be rigorous, however, we encourage all our students to apply for these various awards, as this will go a long way in helping fulfill their dreams. We also encourage all advisors, mentors, and HPS chapters to reach out to their students, mentees, and chapter members respectively to apply for these various opportunities.
We would like to inform our students that the Nonionizing Radiation (NIR) Section of the HPS is seeking a student to join the NIR Section as a student member. If you are interested in this position, please reach out to R. Dewayne Holcomb for more information.
