On Friday 28 January, U.S. Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson announced a substantial new funding commitment for cleanup, waste management and worker health initiatives for the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Kentucky and for the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Ohio.
