Meeting - Environmental Effects of Nuclear War

Join the National Academies on Tuesday, 19 September 2023, 1:30–3:30 pm ET, for "Independent Study on Potential Environmental Effects of Nuclear War." During this public meeting, a committee will hear about climate modeling work from the Department of Energy National Labs, review the potential environmental effects and socio-economic consequences that could unfold following nuclear wars, and explore scenarios ranging from small-scale to large-scale exchanges between major powers.
