Z136.1 Laser Standard Update

The ANSI Z136.1 Standard is the most widely used laser safety standard worldwide. Significant changes to the standard have occurred over the past several years. This paper will review the changes which are of most importance to the practicing laser safety officer. In addition, the standard is constantly being revised. The direction of laser safety in the upcoming revision will also be reviewed.
