Provided RP support while conducting groundwater gauging, sampling, drilling, and monitoring well installation activities. Identify locations where concentrations of radiological constituents in groundwater may indicate the presence of FUSRAP-related material that was not remediated or was insufficiently remediated.

Senior Health Physicist (HP)
Ramboll, United States Army Corps of Engineers, NOE, DuPont Chamber Works, FUSRAP Superfund Site, Deepwater, NJ May 2023 – August 2023

Lead HP role in conducting a 60 acres gamma scan survey. Daily QC of instruments and source checks, maintenance, and utilization of meters. Use of an RSI -RS-602 console paired with two RSX-1 NaI(T1) detectors with RadAssist and RadView (for 4x4 scan). Use of a Trimble Pathfinder Global Positioning System (Geo7x) with Tera Sync. Use of a Ludlum Model 2221 with a Model 44-20 with Teraflow (for 3x3 scans). Use of a Ludlum Model 3001, Model 3002, Model 3 with Model 44-9, Model 26, and Model 2929 with Model 43-10-1. Performed data analyst on all gamma scan surveys. Monitored exposures with personal electronic dosimeter and log beginning and end of day results. Performed equipment and material routine and non-routine surveys. Conducted smear counting, procedures and daily data log updating.
