Radiation Protection Expert, Mazar e Sharif, Afghanistan (August 2014 – August 2021)

  •  Equipment Inspection and Registration- Registered, Surveyed, and Monitored over 225 instruments and equipment that emit X-rays and gamma rays (including 162 X-rays, 20 CT scanners, and 16 Dental X-rays) Health Care Ionizing Radiation Machines; (26 Personnel Scanners, Baggage Scanners, and Truck Scanner) to enhance and improve radiation safety and protection measures, achieving 40-60% reduction in exposure levels.

 

  • Comprehensive training programs- Designed and implemented customized training & educational programs to enhance awareness of radiation protection across all level of staff of organizations dealing with ionizing radiation in 8 provinces.

 

  • Regulatory Oversight- Meticulously formulated performance assessment documents for 76 monitored ionizing radiation apparatus, with the principal objective of acquiring licensure for these radiation sources and equipment.?
