Radiation Exposure and Pregnancy, a new Health Physics Society (HPS) Fact Sheet, has just been posted on our site under Radiation Facts. The HPS Public Education Committee, chaired by Dan McGrane, put this material together in response to a request from the Ask the Experts editors who handle many questions regarding radiation exposure during pregnancy on a daily basis. It is expected that this Fact Sheet will answer most of the questions that pregnant women have about fetal exposure to radiation. The Fact Sheet has been approved and released by the Society's Scientific and Public Issues Committee.
