Fact Sheet on Radioactivity in Consumer Products

In an effort to improve and expand the Society's public education program, the Health Physics Society (HPS) develops and distributes basic educational materials on health physics topics. Examples of these materials are "Fact Sheets" on specific topics of interest to the public. The most recent HPS Fact Sheet addresses radioactive materials in consumer products such as smoke detectors, glass, fertilizer, food, and other materials.
