"It is far more important that we establish and implement a radiological protection road map for low doses than to resolve, to the last decimal point, every controversy and every effect," stated Nuclear Regulatory Commissioner Nils J. Diaz in his address at the American Radiation Safety Conference and Exposition (ARSCE) at the Health Physics Society's Plenary Session on June 11 in Cleveland, Ohio. Commissioner Diaz' talk, "Relevance of Radiation Protection," concentrated on "three interconnected phases: assessment, regulation, and implementation."
