"I am committed to ensuring that our nation enacts an energy policy that harmonizes our environmental needs with our energy needs," stated U.S. Senator George V. Voinovich (R-OH) at the American Radiation Safety Conference & Exposition (ARSCE) Plenary Session Monday in Cleveland. Voinovich is the ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee, which has jurisdiction over the reauthorization of the Clean Air Act and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, as well as other legislation pertaining to nuclear energy, wetlands, private property, and safety.
