Million Worker Study Funding
The Health Physics Society (HPS) Government Relations Program has learned that funding for the Department of Energy's (DOE) portion of the Million Worker Study, normally funded at about $1M annually, is no longer included in the DOE budget for FY2022. HPS has supported funding for this project, led by John Boice of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and believes that it is a valuable addition to our knowledge about regulated doses. If you agree and are so inclined, consider writing an email to your two senators and your member of the House of Representatives.
