Rio Grande Chapter Member Sara Dumit to Receive NCRP Award

The Rio Grande Chapter of the Health Physics Society (RGCHPS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Sara Dumit, a health physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, has been selected as the second recipient of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) John D. Boice Jr. Young Investigator Award. Sara received this award for her research in internal dosimetry and actinide biokinetics, specifically biokinetic effects from chelation treatment. She will be recognized for this accomplishment at this year's NCRP annual meeting. For further details, visit the NCRP website.
