Workshop: "How HPS Got Me a Job"

Greetings Health Physics Society (HPS) student members!

The Early Career Professionals Section (ECPS) officers are excited to announce our first workshop—"How HPS Got Me a Job"—to be held 10 November, 2021, 12–3:30 pm CT. Registration is FREE for ECPS members and all students.

Our speakers include a panel of HPS professionals excited to share advice, opportunities, and experiences in what HPS did for them. We also have a special talk from Dr. Tom Johnson on preparing for Part 2 of the certification exam.

Speakers include:

  • Kendall Berry, Radiation Safety Officer at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
  • Mike Lewandowski, Manager of Ionizing Radiation at 3M.
  • Chu Wang, Assistant Director of Radiation Safety at Duke University.
  • Tom Johnson, Professor of Health Physics at Colorado State University.
  • Experts from EPA, HPS officers, students, and graduates who recently landed jobs.
  • And more!

A full schedule will be sent shortly. For now, register and mark your calendars! An opportunity to submit panel questions ahead of time will also be provided. Space is technically limited (although we do not anticipate hitting our Zoom max).
