Recent articles in newspapers and scientific journals have discussed the potential for harm from radiation to children who have received computed tomography (CT) scans. Medical physicists and radiologists at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, have evaluated these tests and report on their findings on the Mayo Clinic website.

Health Physics Society member Andrew Karam, RSO, University of Rochester, has also prepared a perspective on radiation exposures to pediatric CT patients. His summary can be found on this website.
