Karam Critiques Bosch

How many TV seasons begin with a medical physicist being killed? And—yes—this scene might rattle some of our medical colleagues, but what happens next should rattle us all.

Season 6 of the acclaimed Amazon Prime detective series Bosch (based on a series of novels by Michael Connelly) continues following LAPD detective Hieronymus (Harry) Bosch as he battles crime, politics, the media, and his own lack of tact and political correctness in today's Los Angeles. This time, Bosch will be investigating the death of our medical physicist—which is linked (according to the season trailer) to a dirty bomb plot.

Health Physics News Contributing Editor Andrew Karam has agreed to binge-watch the season, trusty tequila bottle in hand, to tell us how well (or poorly) the show's researchers and writers did on the radiation safety aspects of the season (he decided that five bottles were not enough for the recent HBO series on Chernobyl). Pledging to do a shot for every serious mistake, we'll see how much of a liver he has left at the end of the season as well as tidbits to share with your neighbors and friends. Check Health Physics News for links to his written commentary after Season 6 gets underway.
