You have agreed to be the Radiation Safety Officer(RSO) for a licensed nuclear activity. What are your duties and responsibilities? What is your authority? What must you do? What will get you in trouble with your regulator? What wil get YOU in very serious trouble with your regulator? Based on 30 years of experience as a regulator, the speaker belives that being an RSO requires three things; adequate management skills, knowledge of one's technical limits and personal integrity.
