Strata Energy operates the Ross insitu uranium recovery Project in Oshoto, Wyoming. The radiation protection activities at the Ross Project would be in line with what you would find at a licensed uranium processing plant. A rigorous Radiation Protection Program is in maintained and implemented to track employee dose in accordance with NRC and State Agreement Program standards and guidelines. Strata radiation protection staffing includes an RSO, Alternate RSO, and RST. Radiation protection activities at the site include:
-Airborne uranium and thorium particulate surveys, radon surveys, and gamma surveys
-Bioassay and contamination control programs
-Radiation protection controls and PPE
-Employee and public dose calculations
-Radiation worker training for employees and contractors
-Routine reporting to regulatory agencies
-Shipping of yellowcake uranium and byproduct waste.
