Society Support Committee

The Society Support Committee of the Health Physics Society is responsible for maintaining and improving support to chapters, sections, and HPS members, including establishing and implementing methods to address member concerns and to involve a greater number of members in the administration and activities of the Society.

Available information on the HPS website is specifically devoted to providing support to chapters, sections, and HPS members in a user-friendly way (sign in to your HPS account before clicking any of the links!):

Chapters will find helpful and informative information on the Chapters home page in the Members Only area (of course, you must be a member of the Society to access this information). Chapter reports are available to anyone on the Chapter Reports page, so any chapter member, whether a member of the Society or not, can see what other chapters are doing for programs, science support, incorporation, etc. The officers of each chapter are listed on the Chapters of the Health Physics Society page. If the information for your chapter is outdated, a chapter officer needs to submit an updated chapter report. If you have questions about submitting a chapter report, feel free to contact the website Society operations editor.

Sections are listed on the Sections of the Health Physics Society page. Additional information may be found on the Sections home page in the Members Only area. If the information for your section is outdated on the section listing page, contact the website Society operations editor.

Members should be able to find almost anything they need to know regarding their membership and the operations of the Society in the Members Only area. If you are struggling to find resources related to the organization of the Society, we encourage you to visit the Committee Chair Toolkit.

For HELP with other questions or issues, chapter and section officers should contact the Society Support Committee Chair at SocSupport.Chair@HPS.org. Section officers should first contact their director liaison. The director liaison is included in the listing of section officers on the Sections of the Health Physics Society webpage. They are listed as HPS Board Director and their contact information is available through the Members Directory in the Members Only area.
