Dear HPS
I am a volunteer nuclear safety campaigner in Cumbria UK. The most recent findings on a beach used by families is “confirmed a Cs-137 activity of 1.23 ± 0.25 MBq. What health impact if any would this have should a toddler ingest the “stone” which would be 2mm in diameter?
Thanking you in advance
Marianne
Hello Marianne,
I sent you a message privately as well – I need some additional information to be able to respond to your query. With respect to the measurement you are reporting, what exactly was tested (soil, aggregate quantity, just the ingested stone?) If you can provide some more information (or, better yet, maybe directly send me the analysis report) I should be able to provide an answer for you.
