Thai authorities on February 21 said they found three metal canisters believed to contain radioactive waste dumped in a suburban Bangkok parking lot after five people fell ill.
Four workers from a scrapyard and a scrap metal peddler were hospitalized with radiation burns and radiation sickness after being exposed to the canisters which contained cobalt-60.
