  • Executed field work involving site walks to survey radioactive material storage areas and packaging/shipping low level radioactive waste for customers across the Department of Defense
  • Assisted Radiation Safety Officer with planning and implementing a Radiation Protection Program to ensure radiological protection, ALARA, and worker training standards were met following 10 CFR 20 and NRC materials license requirements
  • Coordinated yearly waste site permit renewals with state level officials
  • Led yearly radiation safety training for health physics staff. Training included review of basic radiation physics principles, applied radiation protection, and proper laboratory and field instrumentation use
  • Mentored new Health Physics staff members in reviewing RWPs, project management, and maintaining documentation
