Answer to Question #768 Submitted to "Ask the Experts"Category: Historical Issues/Applications The following question was answered by an expert in the appropriate field: Q
My student would like to know if Pierre Curie had a "nickname"?
A
As best as I can determine, Pierre Curie did not have a "nickname." Interpersonal relationships then were more formal than today - nicknames were less common. It is possible that his parents employed some term of endearment for him when he was very young, but that would be about it.
