Is it true that you can only be a nuclear medicine technologist for five years because of the radiation exposure?
A
There is no time limit for careers in which individuals are occupationally exposed to radiation—such as nuclear medicine technologists. There are annual exposure limits that must be observed. With adequate precautions and careful techniques, these limits are rarely any problem in nuclear medicine.
