The following question was answered by an expert in the appropriate field:

Do you have a chart that lists the amount of radiation received during various medical exams as compared to other exams? For example: A CT of the abdomen is comparable to . . . . I ask this because I am a CT tech and am often asked how much radiation the patients are getting. While I do realize that the radiation dose received varies by patient size and the kVp and mAs used, I would like to be able to give my patients an approximate comparison when asked. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

I think there are several individual groups that may have assimilated such information. Vanderbilt has such a compilation. See the section titled "Radiation Safety." Most of the x-ray and CT doses come from ICRP 62, which I recommend as a resource. We also have a compilation of doses for radiopharmaceuticals; it is not on Vanderbilt's Web site yet, but you can get it from http://www.doseinfo-radar.com/RADAR-INT-NM.html (part of a general Web site I run with dose-related information).
