During the late 1970s and early 80s there was a question about the radiation of sun beds and sun booths. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and told the cause was exposure to radiation when I was young. To my knowledge, I never had treatment of any kind and am trying to find things I could have been exposed to.

There is no evidence that the types of radiation associated with sun beds and sun booths (ultraviolet radiation) causes thyroid cancer.
