PDF Files: Viewing, Printing, and Configuring Web Browsers

Portable document format (PDF) files are based on the PostScript(TM) page-description language, the de facto industry standard for desktop publishing and printing. PDF documents appear on-screen at the highest possible resolution and print in color or black and white on any type of printer. Text, graphics, photographs, and page layouts retain their original format whether viewed on Macintosh, Windows, or UNIX systems.

However, in order to view and print a PDF document online, your Web browser must be configured to use Acrobat Reader or a similar viewer. Use the links below to obtain PDF viewers and Web browsers.

Obtain a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader for use on various platforms. Acrobat Reader 6.0 is the latest version available and we recommend, at minimum, version 5.0 for use with our PDF files.
