Radiological Dispersion Devices - A.K.A "The Dirty Bomb"

Author

V. Anderson

Abstract

If a radiological dispersion device is set off in the United States, we can also survive and clean up the subsequent contamination. Planning for and responding to use of radiological dispersion devices requires the entire emergency planning community. The health physicist role is to provide expertise in the area of radiation safety, radiation effects, and behavior of radionuclides.
