The Decommissioning of a Hospital Radioactive Materials License
D. A. Koch
Rapid changes in medical reimbursements leave many medical institutions with financial challenges. As a result of significant losses, hospitals nationwide are forced to take decisive action and close down. Most hospitals serve their community with Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, and Clinical Research Departments. The closing of the facility as an acute care medical facility requires the decommissioning of the facility's Radioactive Materials License.
