Abstract

The Air Force Radioisotope Committee Secretariat (SGOR) of the Air Force Medial Operations Agency, located at Bolling AFB, Washington D.C., is responsible for the management of the Air Force's NRC Master Materials License (MML). Through the MML, SGOR issues hundreds of permits for possession and use of radioactive materials to Air Force organizations. SGOR has developed and instituted a database tool to assist in tracking of these permits. Radioactive Materials Management Information System (RAMMIS) includes a radioactive materials database and accompanying software to generate permits and support administrative functions such as incident actions, inspection findings, point-of-contact listing, and suspense tracking. RAMMIS automates many standard functions requires in the issuance of radioactive material permits.
