NIST designs, maintains, and disseminates the national standards for air kerma (exposure) and absorbed dose for x-rays and gamma rays I the energy region from 10 keV to 1 MeV. The uncertainties in the NIST standards and calibrations will be presented, and recent intercomparisons with other national standards laboratories will be highlighted.
