Information for Attendees of the 2011 Midyear Meeting

Dear HPS Midyear Meeting Attendee,

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2011 HPS Midyear Meeting very soon! You are currently registered for the meeting. Any balance due (if applicable) will be payable at the registration desk. Following are some details that we hope will assist in your meeting plans.

Hotel Name and Location

The Embassy Suites North Charleston Hotel is located at 5055 International Blvd, North Charleston, SC, 843-747-1882.

Airport Transportation

There is a courtesy bus to the hotel from the Charleston International Airport – Call 843-747-1882 once you have your bags at the airport and they will pick you up.

Charleston International Airport

• Hotel direction: 2.65 miles
• Driving Directions: Exit airport going west toward International Blvd, turn slight left onto International Blvd.

Parking

• Self Parking on-site, free

All Registrants

The Registration Desk will be open during the following hours in the Exhibit Hall Foyer of the Charleston Convention Center:

Sunday, February 6:	3:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Monday, February 7:	7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Tuesday, February 8:	8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Wednesday, February 9:	8:00 am-12:00 pm

Staff is available during these times to assist you with membership enrollment, on-site registration, conference materials, employment opportunity information, and meeting room locations.

AAHP/PEP Registrants

Saturday AAHP Courses (8 am-5 pm) will take place at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Sunday PEP Courses will take place at the Charleston Convention Center (which is connected to the Embassy Suites). If you haven’t done so already, and would like to register for a weekend course, you may do so onsite.

PEP 1-A and 1-B	=	8:00-10:00 am
PEP 2-A and 2-B	=	10:30 am-12:30 pm
PEP 3-A and 3-B	=	2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

PEP A rooms	=	Meeting Rooms 6 & 7, Charleston Convention Center
PEP B rooms	=	Meeting Rooms 8 & 9, Charleston Convention Center

**New for PEP Courses this year – you should have received an email with download instructions for the handouts for your course(s), please be sure to download your handouts prior to the meeting.

Welcome Reception

Sunday, February 6, 6:00-8:00 pm – Ballrooms C1/C2 – There will be a big screen TV, hot dogs and popcorn so that you can watch the big game!

Shuttle

There will be a complimentary shuttle bus leaving from the convention center to take attendees downtown (and return) to sample the excellent restaurants and to visit the shops. The shuttle will be available from 6-10:20 pm on Sunday through Tuesday evenings.

Job/Resume Posting

There will be a message board located in the exhibit hall to post any job openings you have and to post your resume if you are looking for a job.

Tuesday Lunch/Poster Session

There will be a complimentary lunch during the poster session in the exhibit hall on Tuesday, February 8th.

Gel Lab Technical Tour

The GEL Lab technical tour is Tuesday, 8 February from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Tickets are still available and can be purchased on site at the registration desk until Monday, 7 February.

In an effort to be more environmentally/economically conscious we do not have bags this year – please plan to reuse one of the bags from previous meetings.
