Radiation Physics Course - January 2001


The U. S. Particle Accelerator School (USPAS) has announced its tentative schedule for next January's session to be held in Houston, Texas under the sponsorship of Rice University. A course of special interest to this audience is included in the curriculum of this session. A course description can be found by clicking on the course title. This course has been taught before at Florida State, Duke, U. C. Berkeley, and at Vanderbilt. For the upcoming session at Rice, the instructional materials are being rewritten to include better coverage of low energy accelerators and electron machines. Dr. Reginald Ronningen of the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University has agreed to assist with the teaching. This course can be taken for academic credit, to be awarded by Rice, and has been approved for 32 continuing education credits by the American Academy of Health Physics.
