This issue of the newsletter is dedicated to those of us who could not attend the Accelerator Section Special Session at the annual Health Physics Society (HPS) meeting in Washington, DC, this past summer. Although not quite as good as being there, this issue fills us in on who attended, what was said, and how we're doing as a section. This will be welcome news to those who couldn't attend and a great recap for those who did.
In this issue, too, we hear from Dr. Ralph Thomas, who has prepared a critique of the latest International Commission on Radiation Protection (ICRP) Publication 92, "Relative Biological Effectiveness (RBE), Quality Factor (Q), and Radiation Weighting Factor (wR)."
