This quarter's newsletter is briefer than last, but equally packed with information. I know you'll enjoy the news from our colleagues at Jefferson Accelerator Facility, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, and Fermi National Accelerator Lab.
In addition, there's a request for your assistance from Carter Ficklen, president of the Accelerator Section, which I'll augment with my own request. If, as you're reading this newsletter, you have any comments or suggestions for improvements, please send them on to me. Or, if you think of an article you'd like to contribute to the next newsletter, make yourself a note to start it soon. Then in December, when we're all rushing to get ready for the holidays, you'll be ahead of the game.
I have one more bit of news to add. If you were carefully reading the list of directors of the Accelerator Section, you may have noticed that Roger Sit's affiliation has changed. Roger, formerly of Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), is now radiation safety officer at the University of North Carolina. Best of luck to Roger as he starts his new job there.
