Third International Workshop on Radiation Safety at Synchrotron Radiation Sources To Be Held in Japan

The following is an announcement of the Third International Workshop on Radiation Safety at Synchrotron Radiation Sources (Radsynch) to be held from November 15 to 17, 2004, at SPring-8, Japan.

The workshop is a quite unique opportunity to discuss with many experts from all over the world various matters related to radiation safety and physics of synchrotron radiation facilities. The first workshop was held at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) in 2001 and the second workshop was at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in 2002. At that time, we agreed that the workshop must be continued and the third would be organized at SPring-8 in the autumn of this year.

The outline of the meeting follows, and details will be announced on the SPring-8 website.

Place: SPring-8, Japan

Date: November 15-17, 2004 (Tentative; this schedule will be changed within 1 or 2 weeks if the machine operation schedule moves. The final schedule will be fixed at the end of spring 2004.)
