As chair of the Nominations Committee, I’d like to announce that on June 12, elections began for new officers of the Accelerator Section. Offices to be considered include president-elect, treasurer, newsletter editor, and two board members. E-mail was sent out to all section members who had e-mail; letters and/or faxes were sent to those members without known e-mail addresses.
If you did not get a ballot and you believe that you are a member of the Health Physics Society (HPS) Accelerator Section, please verify your membership with the HPS secretariat and provide evidence to the Accelerator Section secretary, Lorraine Day. Ballots are due on July 11, and the announcement of new officers will be made at the Accelerator Section business meeting at 4:45 PM, Wednesday, July 23, at the HPS meeting in San Diego.
