In the last three months, the section has been quite busy nominating prominent health physicists to the Health Physics Society (HPS) to be considered for the G. William Morgan Lecturer Award. Also, due to your responses to the call for papers, a strong special session for the annual HPS meeting in July has been prepared and submitted to the HPS Program Committee. The session will include several talks by experts in shielding of synchrotron facilities and other high-energy particle accelerators. I look forward to seeing you at the HPS annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
