The Editor's Corner

Linnea Wahl

I'll make my entry short, as you've got plenty of great articles to read in this issue! First, you'll find an invited article by Art Robinson of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab detailing the history and use of superbends at the Advanced Light Source. Then, you'll notice that our correspondents submitted two interesting articles. One is on an electron gun developed jointly by folks from Pacific Northwest and Brookhaven National Labs and from Brookhaven Technology Group. The other article is on laser Compton scattering experiments at Idaho Accelerator Center (please note, I had a little trouble with some of the symbols. If you want a MS Word file of this paper, please contact me or the author. My apologies.) All are complete with graphics, which can be viewed from the web version of this newsletter. Finally, there are important announcements that you won't want to miss.

Once again, thanks to all for your contributions. Happy spring and happy reading!
