August 2001 Newsletter Highlights

The Health Physics Society's August 2001 Newsletter has an ANSI Standard insert and 36 pages chocked full of Annual Meeting photos and a wide range of topics including the following:

  • COVER — This month the cover story addresses the human capital crisis affecting the nuclear industry and its potential impact on the health physics manpower situation.

  • NOTES — David Hintenlang authors the first article on the ARSCE 2002 to be held in Tampa.
    • Ken Mossman reports the results of the "Safe Radiation Dose" survey conducted in December 2000/January 2001.
    • 25-year members of the HPS are listed.
  • CHP CORNER — Robert Miltenberger discusses the calculator policy and Part I exam changes.
