 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

·        As a Safety and Health Specialist : Provide technical assistance to users of RAM, survey equipment, survey methods, waste issues, contamination control, calibrating radiation detection devices, keeping track of all sealed sources according to regulations.

·        Participating in hospital and university Radiation Safety and Medical Physics Committee Meetings.

·        Conduct confidential patient and family interviews prior to administration of radio-isotopes.

·        Interact and advise medical personnel on radiation safety precautions around patients undergoing Brachytherapy or treatment with radio-pharmaceuticals in Nuclear medicine.

·        Performs inspections, audits and training to ensure adherence to RAM licenses, State, Federal and other applicable regulations and guidelines

·        Provide support to radiation safety programs at Duke University Medical Center and Duke University campus. Primary duties are related to patient care and laboratory audits.

·        Laser Safety physical inventory & hazard evaluation

·        Developed and executed academic lectures in radiation physics and Protection for MD students and residents

·         Installation and commissioning of mHDR and Plato Planning System supplied by M/S Nucletron. Holland

·        Supervised a technical staff, provide Safety training, involving work flow, regulatory compliance, professional development, and quality control.

·        Conducting the performance evaluation, complete QA and Dosimetry of the Teletherapy, Brachytherapy LDR and HDR units
